Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows



It’s the end of an epic journey for a boy wizard named Harry Potter!

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, the much anticipated seventh and final book in J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series hits book stores worldwide with all its’ magic and glory on July 21st.

There are many speculations regarding the plot of the last chapter. J.K. Rowling has said she is poised to kill off two characters at the end of the final installment and many fans fear that Harry, in his last year at Hogwarts will be one of the victims. She further states that the final volume relates very closely to the previous book in the series, ‘Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince’, so much so that the two books are almost as though they are two halves of the same novel. The novel’s plot has been leaked to the net. And to be precise, the leaked story goes on to say who’s gonna die at the final moment of the book. But checking it out definitely kills your curiosity. Photographed copies of the entire book have also made their way to the web. Meanwhile, the title of the book has raised even more rumors about Harry’s future. Who or what are the Deathly Hallows? It’s only a matter of time before everything gets unveiled.

The long awaited final installment of the Harry Potter series will officially go on sale in Sri Lanka from the wee hours of the morning on July 21 at all leading book stores in the country including 'Vijitha Yapa' (including Galle branch) and 'M.D. Gunasena'. You can pre-order your copy through all these outlets. Most local Radio stations are currently having Harry Potter promotions.

The Harry Potter books have sold 325 million copies worldwide and have been translated into 64 languages. ‘Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix’, the fifth installment of the Harry Potter movie franchise was opened worldwide on July 12 while the final picture is due for release in 2010. The book ‘Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows’ has become the most pre-ordered product at Amazon with almost 1.6 million copies bought globally ahead of the it's release on July 21.

According to market sources, almost 10,000 copies of the final Harry Potter book were expected to go on sale in Sri Lanka at Rs. 2,750
